Bound's Lott, 1732
(Cooper Rd., approximately 4 miles from the village of Allen)
Map #19

This residence was built in 1732 by Jonathan bounds on property that had originally been patented by James Dashiell in 1670. The Bounds family remained active in agriculture in the Allen area until well into the 20th century, but the plantation was sold out of the family in the 19th century. It served as a tenant house for decades until it was meticulously restored by Robert Withey several decades ago. It continues as a private residence under new ownership.
